During a Thursday appearance on Good Morning America, Ryan Reynolds made it clear that he has no plans on taking any cross-country trips with his two young daughters anytime soon. "I would rather drink a piping hot bowl of liquid rabies than get on a plane with my two children," he declared. "At 2 years old ,they just have to rip all their clothes off and introduce themselves to everyone on the plane. It’s just like, ‘Please can we land in a farmer’s field?'” Reynolds later gushed about his Life co-star Jake Gyllenhaal and revealed they've become good friends offscreen. "I’ve done almost 50 movies in 24 years and every time you work with people, you’re like, ‘I’m going to hang out with this guy all the time’ but you never see each other again,” he admitted. But that’s not the case with Gyllenhaal. "We’re hanging out all the time. We live near each other, it’s great," he shared. He also joked, "Blake [Lively], my wife is very good at cooking and Jake might just be a little bit better. He can throw down."
Jennifer Lopez's ex-boyfriend Casper Smart has nothing but good things to say about her blossoming romance with baseball legend Alex Rodriguez. "I want nothing but the best and love [for her," he tells Entertainment Tonight. The 29-year-old choreographer-turned-actor also says the two are "friends" who have "nothing but love and respect for each other." Smart goes on to reflect on what it was like to go on tour with J-Lo as both her boy toy and backup dancer. "It was tiring but nice to travel around the world in six months, especially with someone you're with and you get to enjoy it together," he explains. "The work was a lot and we constantly were fixing and changing and shifting and making the show better, daily. But it was fun."
Despite being one of the world's biggest pop stars, Selena Gomez lives in an Airbnb and has only two celebrities whom she keeps in contact with. “I think 17 people have my phone number right now,” she admits in her first-ever cover story for Vogue magazine. "Maybe two are famous." The 24-year-old singer goes on to reveal that "going out" these days consists of taking long drives with her girlfriends: a realtor, a techie and some folks from church. Additionally, in her effort to take care of her mental health, she sees her shrink five days a week and has become a passionate advocate of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a technique developed to treat borderline personality disorder that is now used more broadly, with its emphasis on improving communication, regulating emotions and incorporating mindfulness practices. “DBT has completely changed my life,” she declares. “I wish more people would talk about therapy. We girls, we’re taught to be almost too resilient, to be strong and sexy and cool and laid-back, the girl who’s down. We also need to feel allowed to fall apart.”
Some unsuspecting British Airways passengers recently got a little spice added to their travels. In association with Red Nose Day, Emma Bunton, better known as Baby Spice, went undercover as a British Airways check-in agent, with the hopes of helping passengers by “spicing up their lives.” The Spice Girl alum dropped plenty of references to many of the group’s chart-topping hits, including when she told one customer about an argument she had just gotten into with her friend. “I said, ‘If you want my future, you have to forget my past,’” she said, referencing their debut No. 1 hit “Wannabe.” “‘And if you want to get with me, then you have to make it last.’ But they weren’t very happy about that.”
Elizabeth Hurley has opened up about the best beauty advice that she's received over the years. "My grandmother always said you have to sleep with the window open. She said if you don't sleep with the window open, you're going to wake up with puffy eyes and sort of feel floppy all day," Hurley explains to Us Weekly. "So matter how cold it is, I always crack the window open and just put on an extra blanket... and I never have the heating on in my bedroom." The 51-year-old Royals actress also reveals her 83-year-old co-star Joan Collins' tip for maintaining fabulous skin. "She told me that all around the house, she puts pots of moisturizer and pots of eye cream," Hurley says. “So whenever she goes to the bathroom, she puts more on. She puts it on in the car, she puts it on at her desk. So I'm copying Joan!" Additionally, Hurley lists Charlize Theron and Julianne Moore as her "beauty crushes."
Girls creator and star Lena Dunham can’t say enough good things about fitness pro Tracy Anderson, mainly because she never felt like Anderson was trying to change who she was while she helped her get in shape, Dunham says. She tells People at the opening of Anderson’s new flagship studio in NYC: “I came to her and was like, ‘I have endometriosis, I have chronic physical pain, I just want to feel stronger I just want to have a stronger core, I want to feel like I have more power throughout my day, how do I get there?’ I like that she was coming at it from that perspective rather than like, I’d like to shrink six inches…” For her part, Anderson, who also works with Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez and Alessandra Ambrosio: “Women always think that they need to look like someone else… I really want examples like Lena, like Jennifer, like Gwyneth, that are really proud of who they are, and they just want to be healthy and balanced for themselves.” Amen to that!
Sir Patrick Stewart loves his ganja! The 76-year-old X-Men actor is opening up about his daily marijuana habit, which he uses to combat symptoms that stem from chronic arthritis. He told the Daily Telegraph: “Two years ago, in Los Angeles I was examined by a doctor and given a note which gave me legal permission to purchase, from a registered outlet, cannabis-based products, which I was advised might help the ortho-arthritis in both my hands.” The products he uses include an ointment and a chewy bar. He is also in support of the U.K.’s new program aimed at exploring the benefits of cannabis-based medication. Stewart tells the Telegraph that the Oxford University program tasked with researching pot is “an important step forward for Britain in a field of research that has for too long been held back by prejudice, fear and ignorance.” He says he hopes that research can help others as much as it has helped him. Stewart explains that the diminishment of his symptoms has been amazing: “I believe that the ointment and spray have significantly reduced the stiffness and pain in my hands. I can make fists, which was not the case before I began this treatment.”
Bad luck continues to besiege the Kardashian-Jenner clan following Kim's Paris robbery at gunpoint in October, as TMZ reports that Kendall Jenner's Hollywood Hills home was allegedly burglarized on Wednesday night. The model was out of the house from noon to 8 p.m. Around 1 a.m., she reportedly heard a noise, went into her bedroom and realized some of her jewelry valued at $200,000 was missing. Jenner called 911 and cops quickly arrived, but they found no signs of forced entry and nobody on the premises who didn't belong there. The outlet is now reporting that cops think the heist was an inside job.
